X-Box elite made out of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.  Now that’s a great game system!

The controller was made out of rice crispy treats.

This cake highlighted some of the attractions they have to offer in Virgina like Bush Gardens,  Water Country USA, Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

Of course we couldn’t deliver a cake to Frontier Airlines with out a Frontier plane, complete with Larry the Lynx on the tail.

The staff at Frontier was so appreciative and didn’t waste anytime cutting into the cake.  Chocolate Fudge Cake with Cream Cheese Filling to serve over 200 people.  Well, it could have served over 200 people, but they were pretty generous with their servings sizes!

This Irish themed wedding cake is a great way to incorporate your heritage into your wedding.  This fondant cake is accented with a green fondant ribbon around the base and is adorned with mini Claddagh symbols.  The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love(the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown).

Such a simple and elegant cake can be so stunning with the right lighting and photographer.  Thank you Kristy of Moodeous Photography for capturing the fantastic image!  The beautiful flowers were provided by Colleen of Oakes Fields Florist.

This sushi themed cake was created for a sweet sixteen party.  It includes a large bowl of rice (rice crispies that is), a side bowl of “soy sauce” AKA chocolate, and an assorted selection of sushi rolls.  No Asian meal would be complete without a fortune cookie with a special message… Happy Sweet 16 Kimberly.

My Black Damask cake received a first place ribbon in the masters division, tiered cake category in the Sweet Times in the Rockies Cake show.

Abbie’s birthday cake was all about the pink, inside and out.  This purse cake design matched her party invitations and was made of a bright pink strawberry cake with fresh strawberry filling.

This cake was designed for a retiring Undersheriff.  It included a cigar box with the ranks and positions he held during his 33 years of service.  We also recreated his Smith & Wesson semiautomatic 9mm gun, leather holster belt, and uniform hat, complete with badges.  Every item was fully edible and featured our zucchini lime cake and red velvet cake.

We created this cupcake tower for a recent wedding.  The top Giant cupcake was decorated with a fondant wrapper adorned with a hand cut damask pattern to match the laser cut damask wrappers used on the cupcakes and two gumpaste roses.

StudioWed Denver created a vintage modern table design for the the fantasy wedding table competition at the Denver Chapter of the International Special Event Society wedding showcase.  Intricate Icings was fortunate  to be apart of this wonderful table display.  We made 6 individual three tiered mini cakes for each place setting.  The decorations on these fondant cakes were hand piped with royal icing to mimic the designs on the fabric hanging on the walls in picture frames.  Three of the mini cakes were also adorned with hand made silver broaches. I loved working with this incredible team of vendors.  Thanks for everyones hard work!
