This groom’s cake was made for a wonderful groom with lots of hobbies.  Photography is one of his interests, so we created an edible camera made of graham cracker cake with peanut butter mousse filling.  The edible photos represented some of his other hobbies like running, hiking, biking, air-force football, and of course his new bride!

This jack in the box cake was inspired by the Baby Einstein characters.  The flavors were pistachio cake with chantilly cream and vanilla bean cake with chocolate mousse.

This dragon cake was hand sculpted out of chocolate cake and filled with layers chocolate mousse and vanilla bean custard.

Jackie Cooke moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Denver, Colorado four years ago, when she began a career in public accounting. During her spare time, she often found herself in the kitchen; she has always had a passion for the pastry arts. Her recent marriage inspired her to re-prioritize her life and allowed her to realize that work can be enjoyable! Shortly after having this epiphany, she met Rachael Teufel. Rachael kindly gave Jackie a chance, despite her lack of formal training. Jackie has already learned so much from Rachael and continues to learn more and more each day. Her time thus far at Intricate Icings has further solidified her love for cake design.  Despite her career change, Jackie still finds herself in the kitchen during her spare time, in addition to enjoying the outdoors.
